My opinion on health care

In my opinion, healthcare should be free. No one should have to hesitate before seeing a doctor simply because they’re afraid of the bill that comes afterward. It’s sad that so many people put off important check-ups, tests, or treatments just because they can’t afford them. When you think about it, healthcare isn’t a luxury—it’s something every single one of us needs at some point in our lives.

We shouldn’t have to worry about how we’re going to pay for medications, surgeries, or even basic appointments. These are things people need to survive and stay healthy. It shouldn’t be normal for someone to choose between buying groceries or getting their prescription filled. It shouldn’t be normal for families to go into debt just to get the care they deserve.

Free healthcare would help people live longer, healthier lives. It would reduce stress, improve mental health, and prevent small issues from turning into major medical problems. When people can get help early, they recover faster, miss less work, and can take better care of themselves and their families. That benefits everyone—not just the individual.

At the end of the day, access to healthcare should not depend on your income, job, or insurance. It should be a basic human right. No one should have to fight to survive in a system that puts price tags on our well-being. Healthcare should be free, accessible, and available to all—because our health is too important to be treated like a privilege.

Not everyone can get insurance and with the cost of living going up a lot of low income people cannot afford it and Medicaid does not accept everyone so a lot of people are going without being seen and without their medications, I would know. I was one of them and probably going to be one of them again. 

Big Beautiful Bill

The big beautiful bill has passed the house and was sent on a balancing beam through the senate. The Dems voted that everyone would read all 940 pages on the bill to understand what it includes and what is going to happen. It took 3 days and they finally got a vote but the thing is it has to go back through the house with edits and other things because it did not fully pass because the senates are going to make edits on it and then it goes back through the house and then back to the senate. 

This bill is going to effect everyone! This bill has already started allowing employers to lay off employees because they are not going to have the funds that they need to keep employees on.

 Hospitals are also going to close in rural areas because they use Medicaid money to keep them open and afloat.  A lot of people uses Medicaid and a lot of facilities uses it also such as hospitals, nursing homes and a few other ones. 

A lot of working people and families not just the elderly and the disabled or the poor uses Medicaid because well that is all they can afford and it sucks because people are going to loose the one thing that allows them not to have to worry. Now there are going to be a lot of sick people walking around because they do not have the money to go get checked out and pay bills and buy food. 

That is another thing, people are going to loose their food stamps because of this bill. 

The bill has some positives but it has many negatives. 

• No tax on tips, overtime pay, car loan interest, 
• tax relief for seniors, 
• child tax credit doubles, 
• Medicaid restrictions,
•  Foodstamp cuts,
•  Homeland Security and Immigrations will construct more of the border wall and expand detention for immigrants in custody. 
• Asylum seekers have to pay $100- $1000 fee.
• Increasing the state and local tax deductions or SALT.
• Increasing the debt limit ceiling to $5 Trillion.
• Limiting Overtime
